Don Simoneaux is the Director of Alternative Investments at Waterloo Capital and is responsible for sourcing and evaluating alternative investment opportunities. Before joining Waterloo, Don attended Loyola University in New Orleans, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BBA in Finance and Economics and was a member of the honor societies Beta Gamma Sigma and Alpha Sigma Nu. In 2006 he accepted a position with Cambridge Associates, LLC in Boston, MA. Cambridge Associates is a financial consulting firm which represents over three-quarters of U.S. higher education endowment assets, as well as other non-profits, international organizations and families. They also developed the “American University” style of institutional investing. During his time there, Don served as Senior Investment Analyst in the Non-Marketable Alternative Assets group specializing in private equity and venture capital. In January 2011, Don accepted the investment analyst position at Virtus Private Wealth Management, now Waterloo Capital Management. Don and his wife Catherine have one daughter named Audrey. Don enjoys cooking, live music and golfing.
